Standard Profil Group’s Düzce plant, which has been producing sealing profiles for the global automotive industry since 1977, celebrated "World Disability Day" as well as the "Talking Hands" project which started this year.
The Standard Profil Group, which received an award in 2015 for being the company employing the most disabled individuals in Düzce, organized for the first time this year what will be an annual activity bringing together all disabled employees. At the event, SP General Manager of the Düzce plant, Teoman Yücel, thanked all the disabled employees for their great production efforts.
The "Talking Hands" project offers hearing impaired citizens active participation in the production profession despite all obstacles. With this project, the hearing impaired, which normally are not found in the industry due to the risks associated with not being able to hear in the field of production, have begun to produce sealing profiles for global automotive companies. Also within the scope of the project, sign language training and support is offered to new hearing-impaired factory workers as well as to their colleagues working with them.
